Harvard Asia Quarterly

The Harvard Asia Quarterly is a professional academic journal of Asian studies affiliated with the Harvard University Asia Center and advised by its director, Professor Arthur Kleinman. The journal publishes on multidisciplinary topics related to issues in East, South, Central, and Southeast Asia.

The Harvard Asia Quarterly is dedicated to facilitating scholarly exchange within the academic community by publishing highly researched and well-documented articles relevant to the discourse on contemporary Asia. The journal seeks to provide timely commentary on the issues relevant to Asian studies today.

Established in 1997 by students of the Harvard Law School and Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the Harvard Asia Quarterly has an editorial board comprised primarily of graduate students. Many are affiliated with the Regional Studies in East Asia program at Harvard University.
