Islam in Asia Series

Initiated in fall 2009, the Islam in Asia Seminar Series aims to increase the understanding of Islam as it is practiced in Asian societies in Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, China, and Central Asia, as well as examine the influences of other Asian religions on Islam. The series features three speakers each term and fosters a new generation of scholars with the inclusion of one Harvard graduate student speaker.

The Islam in Asia Seminar Series is co-sponsored by the Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Islamic Studies Program at Harvard.
