Asia Center Virtual Programs
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the lives of everyone around the world, and we at the Harvard University Asia Center were forced to cancel or postpone all of our in-person events and activities indefinitely. However, we believe that the situation should not hinder any knowledge sharing and intellectual discussions generated from our activities. Therefore, we have developed ways of replicating those activities online and have begun to implement new ideas by creating online exhibits and producing a series of asynchronous video podcast talks on a range of topics by Harvard students, faculty members, authors, Asia Center affiliates, senior scholars, government officials, journalists, and other specialists. The new program structure makes these resources easily accessible by people outside of the Harvard campus and around the globe. We plan to continue doing these virtual programs throughout the summer and anticipate continuing in the fall.
