Iida, Keisuke

Professor Iida holds a B.A. in Anglo-American Studies from the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, an M.A. in International Relations from Australian National University, an M.A. in Sociology from the University of Tokyo, and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Harvard University. His research focuses on trade politics, the impact of geopolitics on economic diplomacy, and the politics of regional integration in the Asia-Pacific. He is the author of International Monetary Cooperation among the United States, Japan, and Germany (1999), Legalization and Japan: The Politics of WTO Dispute Settlement (2006), and Japan’s Security and Economic Dependence on China and the United States (2018). Professor Iida has received numerous research grants from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and has previously taught at Princeton University and Aoyama Gakuin University.
