Natasha Murtaza is a Ph.D. Candidate in Government. Her research focuses on political parties, electoral institutions, state-building, bureaucracies, civil-military relations, and the politics of South Asia & the Middle East. Her dissertation addresses when and how political parties construct effective bureaucracies that facilitate development, specifically in the countries of Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh.
