Ms. Yuting Zhang obtained both a Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Urban Planning at Tsinghua University’s School of Architecture. In 2012 she participated in the China International Solar Energy Summit in Datong and in 2013, she won the Grand Prize at Tsinghua University’s 31st Challenge Cup Competition. From 2013 to 2015 Yuting worked as an Assistant Urban Designer during her internship at Qingxun Dushi in Bejing. She has also spent time working on Taiyuan Prefecture’s Conservation and Promotion Plan. Moreover, Yuting has volunteered her time by teaching architecture lessons at a Beijing high school and by participating in Tsinghua University’s 100th anniversary celebration. Her thesis focuses on the conservation of historic districts. Her ongoing desire is to ensure that architecture and spaces maintain diversity by allowing them to reflect their history, culture and climate despite the drive for modernization.
