Philippines Lecture Series

The Philippines Lecture Series aims to promote a better awareness and understanding of the Philippines and its peoples by showcasing scholarship about Filipino history, politics, economics, society, and culture. Although the primary focus of this interdisciplinary series is the Philippines and Filipinos, speakers also situate the Philippines in the broader context of Southeast Asia and explore its complex transnational connections to East Asia, South Asia, and the global diaspora, including Filipino Americans. This series is convened by Professor James Robson, the James C. Kralik and Yunli Lou Professor in the Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations at Harvard College, who also served as the Victor and William Fung Director of the Asia Center.
