The 22nd Annual Harvard East Asia Society (HEAS) Conference, February 8-9, 2019

The 22nd annual Harvard East Asia Society (HEAS) Conference is to take place at Harvard CGIS South on Friday, February 8 and Saturday, February 9. Organized by a committee of RSEA students, this year's conference offers multiple panels on the theme of Voice and Silence: Memory in East Asia. On Friday, February 8 at 5:30 p.m., Prof. Xiaofei Tian, Faculty Chair of the RSEA program, will give welcoming remarks prior to a keynote address by Prof. Ezra Vogel, Henry Ford II Professor of the Social Sciences, Emeritus. On Saturday, February 9 at 4:45 p.m., there will be a keynote address by Prof. Stephen Owen, James Byrant Conant University Professor of Comparative Literature, Emeritus, and closing remarks by Prof. Alexander Zahlten, RSEA Director of Graduate Studies.
