Harvard Buddhist Studies Forum at the Asia Center

The Harvard Buddhist Studies Forum at the Asia Center is an interdisciplinary academic initiative that brings together faculty, graduate students, visiting scholars, and guest lecturers to explore the study of Buddhism across diverse historical, regional, and methodological frameworks. The Forum provides an opportunity for participants to discuss approaches ranging from philology, philosophy, and intellectual history to anthropology, art history, literary studies, and religious studies. In addition to its broad disciplinary scope, the forum's lectures examine Buddhism across a variety of geographic contexts, including South, Southeast, Central, and East Asia.
