Zoom Conversation with Playwright Mfoniso Udofia (Closed Event)

As part of the seminar HIST 137: A History of Love—Modern South and Southeast Asia, enrolled students will meet playwright Mfoniso Udofia on Zoom to discuss her play The Ceremony. The conversation will explore themes of interracial love, characterization, and setting, and give students the opportunity to share their reflections and questions directly with the playwright.

Students in this seminar will attend performances of The Ceremony at the Chuang Theater in Boston. Each student will write a review reflecting on the play and its themes. These reflections will serve as the basis for the discussion with Udofia on October 3.
