Mengxiao Wang 

Mengxiao Wang is an assistant professor at the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at the University of Southern California. She received her Ph.D. degree in Chinese literature from Yale University in 2019 and was a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Buddhist Studies at UC Berkeley during 2019-2021. Her research interests include traditional Chinese theater, print culture, Buddhism, and the interplay between literature and religion in the Ming-Qing periods. She is currently working on her book project, tentatively titled Performing Enlightenment: How Buddhists Reinvented Theater in Early Modern China.
