Update on Asia Center Events in Response to COVID-19

Dear Asia Center Community,

Harvard University and the Asia Center continue to pay close attention to the public health concerns related to COVID-19.  On March 10th, 2020, President Bacow announced a series of new guidelines and changes that Harvard is implementing in response to the evolving situation.

In response, our remaining events for the spring semester have been cancelled, postponed, or will be offered online. Please refer to our website for an up-to-date schedule. We will also continue to work with our students, faculty, and affiliates to mitigate the effects of the situation on their academic work.

On February 28th, the Asia Center sponsored a panel discussion entitled “Going Viral: COVID-19 and its Regional and Global Implications” that included leaders in the fields of Public and Global health. Video and transcript of the event are available.

We hope that everyone will stay healthy and mutually supportive as together we respond to the challenges that we are facing.

Take care,

James Robson, Director
