The Asia Center offers a range of public programs that advance understanding of contemporary and historical issues across Asia. The Asia Beyond the Headlines Seminar Series examines current events shaping the region and their global implications, while the Transnational Asia Seminar Series highlights cross-border movements, connections, and shared challenges.
The Asia Center Author Book Talk Series features recent publications from the Asia Center Publications Program, and the long-standing Asia Center Seminar Series brings leading scholars, journalists, and policymakers to Harvard to address key regional topics.
The Science and Technology in Asia Seminar Series, convened by Victor Seow, focuses on historical and contemporary developments in science and technology across Asia. The Tsai Lecture Series, established in 2000, hosts distinguished global leaders from a wide range of fields to promote deeper engagement with Asia’s roles in the world.
The Center also convenes conferences that bring together scholars and practitioners from Harvard and beyond to explore transregional themes and emerging issues.
