Support the Asia Center Fund

Your contribution to the Asia Center Fund is distributed equally across our three core pillars. This balanced approach ensures a sustainable future for our Publications Program and our Southeast Asia Initiative and establishes our Center as a hub for research that crosses cultural, national, and disciplinary boundaries.

Our Three Pillars of Impact
The Transnational Asia Initiative (TAI)
Advancing scholarship that crosses national boundaries to explore the shared networks and challenges that shape Asia today.

The Southeast Asia Initiative (SEAI)
Building a permanent institutional home at Harvard for Southeast Asian studies that includes course development, language instruction, and supporting students and faculty members.

The Publications Program
Home to the Harvard East Asian Monograph series, the Harvard-Yenching Institute Monograph series, and the Harvard Contemporary China series, the Publications Program has been producing award-winning scholarly books since the 1950s.

How Your Gift Creates Change
Across these initiatives, your generosity provides essential resources for:
Student Support: Supporting grants for research-based travel and conference attendance.
Faculty Funding: Conducting research, hosting a seminar or conference, or developing curricula related to Asia.
Public Programming: Organizing lectures, seminars, and book talks like the Transnational Asia Seminar Series, the Southeast Asia Lectures, and the Asia Center Author Book Talk Series.
Scholarly Publications: Sustaining the print production and global distribution of award-winning and research-based academic monographs.
International Scholars: Bringing visiting practitioners from across the globe to campus to share their knowledge and engage with the Harvard community.
