Call for papers
The Harvard Asia Center is pleased to announce a Call for Papers for the 2025 Harvard Southeast Asia Studies Graduate Symposium. The symposium will focus on the theme applied, centering its discussions around the relationships between research and society. It aims to bring together graduate students from diverse academic disciplines, including anthropology, built environment studies, education, environmental studies, geography, history, political science, post-colonial studies, public health, religion, science and technology studies, and the social sciences. Mittal Institute’s Visiting Artist Fellowship

The Visiting Artist Fellowship is a unique opportunity for mid-career visual artists from around South Asia to spend eight weeks on the Harvard campus. The VAF differs from a typical artist residency program in that it is research-centered, providing artists with the vast resources of Harvard’s intellectual community to enhance their artistic practice. The Lung Tai Cultural Foundation has announced a Call for Papers for the 2025 Taiwan Peace Fellowship Program. It is a three-week, full-time residency based in Taipei, and will run from September 7–29, 2025. Fellows will gain personal development, access platforms to share experiences with the Chinese-speaking world, and expand their network. Deadline: February 26, 2025

Asia Center Student Organization Grants
The Harvard University Asia Center offers grants to undergraduate and graduate student organizations for transnational or comparative projects involving two or more countries or regions in East, South, and Southeast Asia OR single-country projects in Southeast Asia. Projects relating to the Asian diaspora and Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) studies will also be considered. These grants are offered on an ongoing basis; however, organizations are encouraged to apply as early as possible, as funds are limited. Deadline: Rolling; at least one month in advance of the event or project start date

Asia Center Conference Attendance Grants for Students

Asian University for Women Teaching Fellowship
AUW, a university located in Chittagong, Bangladesh, is dedicated to the education, empowerment, and leadership development of highly talented women from across Asia and the Middle East. The AUW Teaching Fellows program invites recent college graduates to partake in a one-year fellowship to teach English, math, or computer science to students in the Pre-Undergraduate Programs at AUW.
