The Vietnam Studies Program is built around an interdisciplinary community of faculty, students, staff, visiting scholars, alumni, and partners whose work engages Vietnam from many perspectives. The Program serves as a platform for connecting this community across Harvard’s schools, departments, centers, and libraries, and for building stronger ties with scholars and institutions in Vietnam and the global Vietnamese diaspora.

Program leadership provides strategic direction for the Vietnam Studies Program, coordinates across Harvard units, supports faculty and student engagement, and helps shape the Program’s research, teaching, and public programming priorities.

Faculty and affiliates bring expertise from across Harvard, including history, literature, language, anthropology, religion, public health, medicine, education, public policy, law, business, design, environment, technology, and international relations. Together, they reflect the Program’s commitment to studying Vietnam not through a single disciplinary lens, but as a complex society whose past, present, and future speak to global questions.
